Professor Dr. Hassan Ali Khan Durrani is an esteemed academic and professional with extensive experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from MUET (2010) under the HEC Indigenous Merit Program, specializing in Automobile Engineering. His doctoral thesis focused on vehicle waste-oil management strategies in Pakistan. He also earned an M.E. in Manufacturing Engineering (2006) and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (1981) from the same institution.
Dr. Durrani has a distinguished career that spans over four decades. From November 1997 to December 2015, he was a professor at MUET, Jamshoro, where he also held the role of department chairman. He availed a lien period during his time at MUET to work on the prestigious Medina-Yanbu Desalination and Power Plant project for the Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) in Saudi Arabia between 1993 and 1997. In this capacity, he contributed as a professional engineer overseeing quality assurance through Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) for power and desalination units.
Professor Durrani has made significant research contributions, having authored 24 papers published in national and international journals. His research interests include Automobile Engineering, Thermal Power Plant Engineering, Materials Engineering, and Welding Technology.
